Off-the-grid passive architecture

The Ball family had a vision unique to any other project in Santa Clarita Valley, California.  The emphasis has been to preserve the natural "Biodiversity" of his acreage. 

Mr. Ball worked very closely with the civil engineer and I to use the land already contoured by nature, leaving very little need for grading.  Homes sizes that are great for a family, all surrounded with vast untouched natural landscape. 

In addition to many architectural features included to preserve resources, Mr. Ball has designed and placed the homes to take advantage of the north/south orientation.
